Privacy policy

Last updated: June 15, 2025

1. Introduction

Vizera (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our website, applications, and subscription services (the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Data we collect

Information you provide

  • Account data — name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form)
  • Billing data — subscription plan, payment status, and billing history processed through Paddle. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
  • Profile and preferences — settings, plan selection, and communication preferences
  • Support communications — messages you send to our support team

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, project counts, and interaction events
  • Device and log data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and timestamps
  • Session data — authentication tokens and session identifiers required to keep you signed in

3. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, and maintain secure sessions.

Types of cookies we use:

  • Essential cookies — required for authentication, security, and core functionality. The Service cannot function properly without these.
  • Preference cookies — remember settings such as interface state and plan-related features
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it (see Analytics below)

You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from signing in or using key features.

4. Analytics

We use analytics tools to measure product usage, diagnose performance issues, and understand which features deliver value. Analytics data may include page views, feature interactions, device type, and general geographic region derived from IP address.

We configure analytics to avoid collecting unnecessary personal information. Where supported, we honor browser “Do Not Track” signals for non-essential analytics. Aggregated analytics data does not personally identify you.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

5. User uploads

When you upload images, create moodboards, colorboards, or other project content (“User Content”), we store that content to provide the Service — including cloud sync for paid plans, export functionality, and project persistence.

Regarding your uploads:

  • User Content is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with access restricted to authorized systems and personnel
  • We do not use your private project images to train public AI models without your explicit consent
  • We may process images locally or server-side to deliver features such as color analysis and board composition
  • Team plan content may be accessible to other members of your workspace according to your sharing settings

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and use any content you add to the Service.

6. Data retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes described in this policy:

  • Account data — retained while your account is active and for a limited period after deletion to handle disputes, backups, and legal obligations
  • User Content — retained while your account is active. After account deletion, project data is removed from active systems within 30 days, subject to backup retention cycles
  • Billing records — retained as required for tax, accounting, and fraud prevention purposes, typically up to seven years
  • Analytics data — retained in aggregated form; raw event logs are rotated on a rolling basis

You may request earlier deletion of your data where applicable law provides that right. Some information may be retained where we have a legitimate legal or operational need to do so.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated personal data
  • Portability — request an export of your account data in a commonly used format
  • Objection and restriction — object to certain processing or request that we limit how we use your data
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@vizera.design or use the account management tools in your dashboard. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Third-party services

We use trusted third-party providers to operate the Service, including:

  • Paddle — payment processing and subscription management
  • Cloud hosting providers — application hosting and file storage
  • Analytics providers — product usage measurement

These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations consistent with this policy. Their own privacy policies govern data they collect independently.

9. Security and children

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Questions about this policy or our data practices may be sent to support@vizera.design.
